Meet MAX - Paws Behind Bars Trained

MAX is a 3-year-old, large breed male mix who weighs 70 lbs. He was picked up as a stray by a local shelter and became an immediate favorite! (He was with his sibling brother who sported a long haired coat, if that further confuses the issue as to what breed(s) he is!)

MAX is a gentle, goofy dog. He already knew sit and walked well on a leash, but we thought it best to let him take a turn in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. He's been in there 2 weeks, and he's having a blast! The more people and dogs he has to play with, the better. He's also enjoying the constant companionship of his inmate. It won't take him long to master the rest of his obedience...and then on to a home that will be his forever!

He'll need a fenced-in backyard, and, if children, older ones that can't be knocked over so easily. Another younger dog in the house would make it even better. He's very outgoing and social and should be a dog who could travel anywhere with you - vacation or a short trip to the store.
