Meet NICO - Paws Behind Bars Trained

NICO is a very special dog. He adopted out from our program as a one year old and recently came back because apartment life just didnt suit him. We are committed to our dogs, and, while he lived a good life with the couple who adopted him, they realized he needed more.

Nico went through our Paws Behind Bars program back when, and the best place to put him was right back in. His same inmate was there waiting for him, so, even though he lost one family, he got to go back to another one he knew and loved. All through the eyes of a dog...

Nico is now nearing 7 years old. He is incredibly well-behaved AND trained (visit our Paws Behind Bars FB page for a video). He's a real snuggler inside the home. Outside? he has a nice energy level, but he requires an experienced hand on the leash. He weighs in at a lean 67 lbs., and he's strong, so young children would not be the right fit. He's got a keen eye for anything that might run, and he's always up for the chase.

We love this dog, and we've gone to great lengths to make sure he gets the chance he deserves. We're hoping this is the holiday season he can go home for good.
