He is a 5-year-old mixed breed male who weighs 47 lbs. - What is the breed mix? Maybe a little Hound? And one blue eye? Maybe a little Australian Shepherd or Husky? "Mixed" is certainly the breed category that fits him best.

Ryder came to us because his family could no longer keep him. He is a wonderful companion - and very well trained. He doesn't need a lot of attention and is fully house, leash, and crate-trained.

He'll do best in an adult home, but older children would be fine. (He can get grabby and play keep away, so he's not a good fit for smaller children.) He loves to be outside and has been on many hiking and boating adventures. While at home, however, a fenced yard is a must, so he doesn't follow his nose. He's smart, and we've had him to many events this summer; he's always a very well-behaved, "chill" dog. If you want a middle-aged dog, nice energy level, and well-behaved, Ryder's your guy!
